Family GAL Seminar Therapists and School Social Workers, What Do they Think - And Feel - About the Legal System? How Has Covid Changed Their World? In family court and in family law practices, daily we deal with and rely on therapists and school social workers. Yet what do they think about their dealings with the legal system? How has Covid affected their work and what does the future look like? We look to the therapist and social workers for help and guidance but we rarely ask them what they think about their dealings with the legal system. What can they do and what can’t they do (or do not want to do) in legal cases? What do they want to hear from the courts and the lawyers? And Covid? We know it has radically changed family therapy for social workers and therapists, But how? What should we expect? Attendees will hear from three well qualified presenters. Maureen Goldblatt is a licensed therapist with Cornerstone Counseling. She is a child specialist and family mediator and has extensive experience dealing with family issues including DV, substance abuse, mental health issues and co-parenting. Erica Bova-Brown and Christina Hall are social workers with the Milwaukee Public Schools. MPS serves a broad range of clientele ranging from schools with students who have very difficult lives to schools that are some of the best in the state. So, they have a broad range of experience. They literally have seen it all. Credit: 2.0 GAL CLE credits to be applied for Tickets REGISTERContact: Emily Hutmacher, [email protected] |
