How Attorneys Get Paid Court Appointments in Milwaukee County: The who, what, when, where and why explained by District 1 Judges

This program has been approved for 1.5 CLE credits. Panelists include: Hon. Mary Triggiano, Chief Judge This program is designed to: 1) allow the presiding judges (or their designees) to share information about the process for being court-appointed to a case, the necessary credentials for appointment, and the payment for court-appointed attorney work 2) increase the number of and diversity of attorneys available for court appointment. Attendees will learn: 1) the roles that attorneys play in each of the different appointments 2) the procedures for appointment, including the prerequisites for appointment 3) the forms/documentation and standards the courts require in carrying out the respective roles 4) the procedures and motions necessary for payment.
